Get set up in three steps

  1. Open the iPhone beta Use the public TestFlight link, tap Accept, and install AfterLid. No Apple ID form or invitation email.
  2. Install AfterLid on your Mac The current Mac build is available now. Windows users can leave their email and we will write when the Windows app is ready.
  3. Link your devices Sign in with the same AfterLid account on the Mac and iPhone, then approve the Mac link once.

Frequently asked questions

Is the AfterLid phone app free?

Yes. The iPhone beta is free and available immediately through the public TestFlight link. No Apple ID form is required. Android beta access still uses a Google Play invitation. Free accounts see live Mac status; AfterLid Pro adds remote controls and creation features.

Do I need the Mac app first?

The phone app is a companion to AfterLid on your computer. The current build is available for Mac. The Windows app is in development, and we will email you when it is ready.

Can I change my Mac's power mode from my phone?

With AfterLid Pro, yes — switch between Sleepy, Awake, and Always On remotely. Free accounts are read-only. Every safety limit — battery floor, thermal stop, session cap — is enforced on the Mac itself, no matter what the phone requests.

Does AfterLid see my prompts, files, or AI provider keys?

No. AI execution, prompts, commands, project paths, and provider credentials stay on your Mac. The phone app only receives sanitized status: power mode, battery, thermal state, and high-level activity. Read the privacy policy for details.
